I have a testimony to share.
Recently I was standing on a chair hanging a decoration on the wall, this is something that I should have waited for my tall, handsome husband to do, but I was impatient, so I did it myself!
As I stepped back to the floor my foot twisted under me and I heard a loud crack. I thought it sounded bad, but I also knew, and know, that my God is a God of miracles. I ever so gracefully slammed into the wall and slid to the floor, with a mixture of shock and disbelief competing to take first place in my mind.
By the time I actually reached the floor I took a couple of deep breaths and then grew angry. I know that God has a purpose for me and this felt like an attack to detour me from my purpose! I started decreeing! I am God's daughter! I am a child of the King! I am covered by Jesus's blood! I said a binding prayer against any spirit that would try to separate me from my calling! I cast aside the voice that kept reminding me of the cracking noise. I cast aside everything that was not belief in God's hand over me.
I had a choice at that moment to make, blessing or curse. I chose blessing and rejected any thoughts or words of curse. We face many moments in our day when we make this same choice. I encourage you to always choose blessing!
I refused to say my foot was broken, I said it was injured. By the next day my foot was still injured so I went to the doctor to make sure that everything was in the correct place. The X-ray came back showing a crack in a bone, but it was already reset in the correct position, and it was a bone that doesn't have movement.
I am growing in faith, moving from faith to faith, I believe if I was more mature in my faith, the bone would have already been healed, but God did bless me and my prayers in the whole situation. In my growing faith I had the best in the situation!
I have seen many people have to wear casts for months, or stay off of their feet completely, or walk on crutches. I only have a little stiff soled boot to wear for a couple of weeks at which time I can switch to my regular shoes, and while I was told to not be on my feet too much I'm still free to take care of the daily essentials!
The purpose of my testimony is to encourage you as you face challenges or even daily events, choose blessings! Take authority and repeat to the universe and your enemy who you are!
I am the blessed! I am God's child! I am a daughter of the King!

Curse or Blessing?
Short thought, do you speak curse or blessing into your own life? Do you listen to the self condemning voices of your past or of the world, or do you listen to what God's word says about you?
You are fearfully and wonderfully made! You are a new creation! You are the healed! You can do all things! You have all that you need!
Try starting your day with these words and teachings, it changes your life! They are God's word and He never lies! Trust in Him.
Psalm 139:14 ~ I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
2 Corinthians 5:17 ~ Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Isaiah 53:5 ~ But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Philippians 4:13 ~ I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:19 ~ And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Numbers 23:19 ~ “God is not a human who lies or a mortal who changes his mind. When he says something, he will do it; when he makes a promise, he will fulfill it.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made! You are a new creation! You are the healed! You can do all things! You have all that you need!

Hurricane Isaac, Curse or Answered Prayer?
Good Morning Lord!
It's a beautiful, rainy morning! We've prayed for rain and now here it is! The same rain that is blessing us is brought by the storm that caused flooding and destruction in the South (Hurricane Isaac). Things often seem to be that way- they strengthen or break, create gain or loss. We see it as winning or losing, good or bad. We have such tiny perspectives.
As I read in Judges this morning, I read that Your people did not drive out all of the enemies from the land that You gave them in the Old Testament Covenant. In their neglect, they did not live up to the covenant that was created between them and You. In so doing, they gained slaves, yes, and they probably thought that was a good thing! It wasn't! Along with gaining slaves, they gained snares to their spirits in the gods of their enemies.
They took the easy way and forsook their part of the covenant with You. How many times in my own life have I taken the easy way and not lived up to what or who I'm supposed to be in the covenant I share with You?
"We were dead in our trespasses and sins" (Eph. 2:1 NASB) and we did "walk according to the prince of the power of the air;" we were "by nature children of wrath." But no more!
As You told the children of the old covenant to drive out the enemies, we are told to drive out our "enemies." We are to drive out fear, defeat any weaknesses, and live in "the land" that You have given us. "So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back." (Heb 12:1 NCV)
The land that You have given us? "You have raised us up with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:6 NASB) This is the land where we are to live! In Your presence, seated with Jesus!
We will do battle! We will claim the promise You have given! We will not let the snares of this world entangle us and keep us from the inheritance that You have promised! We will not settle for "good and bad" as the first covenant people did! We, as the New Covenant People, will run our enemies out! No Fear, No Defeat, No Weakness will hold Your people back.
Thank You Father! Thank You Lord Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit! Amen

They took the easy way and forsook their part of the covenant with You. How many times in my own life have I taken the easy way and not lived up to what or who I'm supposed to be in the covenant I share with You?
- How many times have I looked to my own entertainment instead of spending time with You? Turning on the computer or TV instead of picking up my Bible and spending time with You in Your word?
- How many times on Sunday morning have I chosen to sleep in instead of getting up and gathering with Your body of believers to worship and praise You?
- How many times have I ignored one of Your children in need and looked to my own needs only?
- How many times have I congratulated myself on "my" successes instead of thanking and praising You for the success?
- How many times have I let the enemy have the victory over me, brought by fear, defeat and weakness?
- How many times have I judged someone that was trying to walk with You and stumbled?
- How many times have I ______________(fill in the blank, we all know the demons that we fight individually and collectively!).
"We were dead in our trespasses and sins" (Eph. 2:1 NASB) and we did "walk according to the prince of the power of the air;" we were "by nature children of wrath." But no more!
